Yes, if you tell us whilst we carry out your home visit we can ensure your batteries will save any surplus energy your solar panels create for use at night.

It is possible to use your EV batteries to do the same job. Although you should recognise that you are using a very expensive asset to do a simple task, and one that could devalue your car, if the batteries have been used extensively. Also unless your car is available on your drive this won’t be possible and you should remember if you have used your car batteries to power your house, it may not have enough charge when you come to use it for the journey ahead.

Solar is expensive to purchase and install. It needs space facing the sun. Power generated varies considerably depending on the time of year and weather. In most case the return on investment can be more than 10 years. ESME’s batteries will start saving you money from the day they installed, and with a return on the investment in most cases being around five years. Batteries are not weather dependant.

Yes, although you could use a finance provider to pay the full cost and then you will pay a monthly direct debit until the full amount is paid. This will include a cost of borrowing the money.

Last year the UK government spent £500M turning off renewables and using gas powered power stations. This is because often renewable energy is created when it is not needed, for instance in the middle of the night. Being able to store electricity allows more of that energy to be harnessed and used at peak times rather than rely on turning on the dirty energy power stations.
